Interior Designing Tips for a Teenager’s Room
A teenager needs a lot of vibrancy,
identity and a sense of ownership that should get reflected in the decoration
of his/ her room. With certain ideas in mind, one can go ahead and design the interiors of the room for
a teenager.
A Girl’s Room
- It is always tempting to use pink for a young girl’s room, but if she is a teenager, use bolder shades of the colour because her tastes have now become more sophisticated.
- A fun wall paper could be used with motifs of women in their 50s in dresses and pink and white stripe. The wall can thus be accentuated.
- There should be a look of freshness for which the wood work can be kept brightly white and contemporaries with interesting fabrics.
- Choose a simple bed with a neutral coloured carpet so that it is practical and warm too. Since the walls are pink, keep the duvet covers plain or may be some patterns on some of the cushions.
- A bean bag in a teenage girl’s room would be any interior designer’s idea as its convenient when friends come over.
A Boy’s Room
- Again a lot of vibrant colour can be used in a boy’s room. Vertical or horizontal stripes in the wall adds energy and keep it running on either walls or keep one wall plain.
- A neutral grey wool carpet can be used for practical purposes so that it warm and tough too. A fun fabric can be used for the windows to bring in some blues and greens to the room.
- If the cushions of the room have shades of blue and the headboard can be of one colour, it would be perfect.
- A stool or a char in the similar fabric can be used if the room is big and a bean bag in an indestructible fabric looks cool too.
